Peace March

On 25th Jan 09 , Before Republic day we went to Channamma circle to create awareness in people against Terrorist. We joined together lighted the candle & have done the peace march. I was feeling at that time are we taking challenge with terrorist?. Terrorist wants violence, we want peace. while we were moving around circle with peace I was feeling whole world is in peace, everywhere I am seeing peace.

Jail Programme, Night session & Marketing

we visited to jail in jail COHORT II fellows has performed leadership activities. the concept was related to prisoner  our friends  performed  very well. Usha sang a song D.B has given welcome speech, chandru has 

did hosting,  & I told shayari. Mr.chinnababu has introduced about our Deshpande foundation   & Jailer also has given speech. He told this activities bring changes in prisoner life. Chandru has given vote of thanks.

After completing, jailer has appreciated and he gave a suggestion to perform this kind activities in Dharwad jail also.

Night session 

It was very  fine. Night class was looking day class. Everyone was very active no one didn't get sleepy a single minute.  we had presentation after we had discussion about entrepreneurs activity sir has divided our team 5 groups.  after discussion all team has presented.  

Mid night we had snacks. later our team was only two groups we had debate on Leaving relationship & sex education school levels. This session was  very interesting then others. 

 In ice break we played leadership game & singing. After that again we had class about English grammar presentation.  In the morning  talent showing class.  someone  did  mimicry, singing, Dancing & Jokes  telling. 

Marketing

 In the pre-orientation class we had marketing class. It improves our time maintaining ,Bargaining with shop Kipper & knowing about where what we will get. sir has 

divided  our team in 4 groups.  he has told us to some material it must be with in Rs.300. Who will come early they will get prize & who will spend less they will also get second prize. I with chandru, Latha  & Devadanam. wee got came early we got first prize.

Second Guest Lecture session

I was with Guest Lecture Mr.Ketan Deshpande. This guy started a group called "Fuel Group" which is a NGO run by the students and for students, it a wonderful project which got recognition from APJ Abdul Kalam.

It was wonderful session, It started with motivated video & He made us to think in positive manner & out box of area through asking question.

First Guest

It was the first session for us with Yahoo Director Mr.Srinath Sattyanarayan. really we are very fortunate.

Guest Lecture

On 25th Jan 2009 we had guest lecture Prof.M.S. Venugopala is a Former Director of “Swami Vivekananda youth Movement”Mysore. He looks very simple as like Mahatma Gandhi. One who looks simple their thinking is always great that we come to know in this session with him and he made us to think real problems of society. He discussed about our interest and made group according to interest. Then we have created our own slogan. .Enjoyed with folk songs with him.

Orientation

Three days orientation programe in Deshpande foundation

On 20th Jan 09 orientation programme was started with ice breaking games by Taryn. and we have name game with our 22 fellows then we introduced each other. Then Mr.Naveen Jha has introduced all the DF staff & programme to us . He has explained overview of DFP, reward system, DFP goals, DFP vision and reward scale. Then discussed about expectation from DFP. After lunch we have prepared poster about ourself. Program Manager Chinnababu has told about DFP policies. In the night there was dinner with LEAD program volunteers before the dinner they presented their work.

On 21st Jan 09 we presented our poster with others. Later sandbox fellows have presented we got about sandbox area.

On 22nd Jan 09 we have visited Akshay Patra & Agastya.

Agastya Visit

On 22 Jan 09 we had another visit to Agastya. It is a trust the director Ramji Ragvendra has started in 1999 at Koppam in Andrapradesh. It has 11 science center,9 mobile library & 3 science club. It has more then 200 experiment in a lab. They are working with Government school. It is really great job it helps to student to learn science through experiment. It increases curiosity in children. They have conducted science exhibition for childrenen. Then children has explained to their teacher very confidently.

Akshaya Patra

On 22 Jan 09 we have visited Akshaya Patre . The Akshaya Patra foundation is a secular, charitable, not for profit organization with a vision that " No child in India shall be deprived of education because of hunger" The Akshaya school meal initiative is now a

national program spread over six states Karnataka, Andra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajsthan, Gujrata & orissa.

Akshaya Patra has the biggest Kitchen that prepare s fresh hygienic & nutritious food everyday. Each stage in cooking process , from preparation to packaging has been carefully designed. In Hubli & Dharawad it covers 715 schools. This foundation received number of award from Government as well as other foundation and NGO.
